Devolare wrote:Here's my hotbloods. Also which ones did we miss? I have a bunch of them written down, but I was matching the IDs to yours (cause I was too lazy to say what they were, other than IDs x'D). And lol you were a few minutes ahead of me.
Thanks so much. :) Also it's no problem, thanks for supplying the extra IDs. I had all these documents and I still missed things, so you're doing great. Now to post Hotblood results (finally!) because I got most things sorted on my end.

My judgement of the three missed stallions with commentary. Devolare's numbers can be found in the last post of the first page.

Comments: Slight Roman nose, profile could be straighter. Head should be larger, a bulky face to go with a bulky body, but the length is accurate. Fairly decent jowl. Good neck length, but if possible--more muscular, more thick set neck. The shoulder is excellent, though could be bulkier. The withers could be slightly higher. The rib cage and barrel overall looks good. The flank could have more depth, but already matches up fairly well with the stifle in relative placement. This stallion has good hip angle and hip length, though his haunches could be more powerful. Legs could be a bit thicker, but the joints and hooves are already nicely large. Stifle is well placed. Back could be shorter. Croup height is good. While withers could be a bit higher, the topline is nicely smooth. As for coloration, most Belgians are bay or (flaxen) chestnut, with or without roan. Historical horses came in other colors, including gray. I would suggest eliminating the pangare and metallic if possible, as it does not seem to appear commonly (or perhaps at all) in either lineage of this breed. He has a decent mane/tail type, these are a bit varied within the breed. As for feathering, he has too much of this: minimal feathering around the fetlock is preferred. He is tall for a stallion, average height should be closer to 15.3-17hh for all sexes if possible. Overall this stallion just needs to be slightly less refined, a bit coarser--though he is close to an American Belgian, he differs from Belgium’s Belgian Heavy Draft. Overall nice stallion.

Comments: Facial profile should be straighter, without slight Roman nose. Face length is slightly short and the face could be overall bulkier with more jowl. Neck is nicely short, could be thicker. Withers fairly decent. Shoulder could be more sloping and more muscular. Point of shoulder slightly incorrect due to lack of slope. Rib cage is well sprung, but barrel appears incorrect due to horse’s condition (very fat)--slight paunch. Flank could have more depth. Hip angle and hip length fairly nice, though haunches could be more muscular. Legs could be thicker, but has nice hooves. Stifle is a bit low, but allows for long hip so is somewhat acceptable. Back is decently short. Croup height is decent. Topline is fairly smooth. I enjoy the darkness of this chestnut with the flaxen, but the metallic and pangare take away from it by being out of place. His mane/tail are adequate and the tail is reminiscent of the bob often seen in shows. His feathering should be lighter. He is tall for a stallion, average height should be closer to 15.3-17hh for all sexes if possible. Fair stallion, decently put together. Will love to see foals when paired with superior mare.

Comments: Facial profile could be a bit straighter. Face length appears good. Jowl appears good. Ears and eyes decently placed and sized. Head seems nice overall. Neck length is great. Withers could be a bit lower (or hip higher) to smooth topline. Shoulder appears properly angled and well-built. Barrel is proper in size, but the indent of a paunch and the tuck of the flank make it rugged. Hip angle and hip length appear good. Leg thickness is somewhat hard to judge as the legs should be a bit longer: roughly from bottom of shoulder to top arch of neck. This stallion’s legs only make it part way. His stifle placement is good, along with his back length and croup height. Topline could be smoother, as noted. My mistake on earlier saying Auxois should not have mealy/pangare, it appears it does appear in this breed along with bay, chestnut, and roan variations, it is just less commonly seen (Brioche was bumped up one point). This stallion’s mane/tail seem proper. While it is good that he has some feathering (extremely minimal), a bit more would be enjoyed along the fetlock. While notably too tall, my first glance left me with the impression of a well put together Auxois stallion. His type overall matches his breed well.
