I don't think she's silver. I think she's flaxen, the white legs give it away. My guess is she's a sooty flaxen red dun.

Yep, the mother is flaxen too (not silver). And silver doesn't show up on chestnut, so to answer your other question...

you can't have both silver and flaxen showing. Flaxen only shows up on chestnut horses, and Silver only shows up on non-chestnuts. Silver goes for the black in a horse's coat. Since chestnuts don't have black, they're ee, silver doesn't work on them.

Flaxen-liver chestnut-dun, I'd say, although one wold call it flaxen red dun. Its just that flaxen requires 2 copies of the gene to show... at least in real life. But flaxen red dun is the only colour she could be.

For reference:

Silver bay dun

Silver black (young, without dapples)

And your lady,
Flaxen chestnut dun

I can see why you mistook her for silver, she is very similar. But the lightness on her feet give her away as a flaxen, and so she must be chestnut.
When put next to each other, you can also see that she has a redder tint.

As Malakai10 points out, this does mean that her sire has one or two copies of the flaxen gene.
