Conf Show: Taking Entries

Hello, everyone. I'm now streamlining this to prepare for our shows over this next weekend. If you haven't heard about it yet, me and a few others will be hosting admin-approved conformation shows. For the moment, all that you will gain is bragging rights--but don't you want your horse winning Best of Breed or Best of Show? I know I would. In the future, we may have monetary prizes and some have volunteered to create art (ex: specialty tack) for winners.

Our first show will run on Friday and judging will finish by midnight, barring any calamity. We are currently planning for a double on Friday (Coldblood and Hotblood) and double on Saturday (Miniature/Pony and Warmblood). Best in Show will be hosted on Sunday with the winners of the prior breeds and/or classes. All entries for the Coldblood and Hotblood shows must come in before Friday and all Miniature/Pony and Warmblood entries must come in by Saturday. If your horse has not been shown in any of the four, they cannot compete in Best in Show so please wait for the next show weekend. We will be using GMT in an attempt at fairness, and feel free to bop me if I start trying to run on Central Time.

Here is the simple entry form for your horses or ponies. If you have any questions about entry, feel free to ask. By demand, there has also been a Crossbreed Class added. In the Breed section, please list which breed of the cross you'd like the horse to be shown as. For further information on classes, see the post below this one.

Specialty: Coldblood, Hotblood, Miniature/Pony, or Warmblood. Please enter in one (1) despite some breeds being able to enter more than one category.

Requirements for Entry:

• 1. Horse must be purebred or only have one breed listed. If not, they must be shown in Crossbreed Class.
  2. Horses must be 3-4* for their breed. (Judges will check when possible, but with rare breeds this is done on an honor system.)
  3. Horses should be in good condition for their breed. A poor horse in any breed will be DQ’d. A thin hot-blood or fat cold-blood is acceptable.
  4. Horses must be four-years-old (4) in order to show. Only mares and stallions can show at this point in time as there would be much difficulty in properly judging foals.

Oh dear me. So sorry about that. They would be in the AOV category rather than the Critical Breed category since they have 50+ animals, yes. I've added them to the list. Thanks for letting me know about my oversight! You can certainly enter your Vanners. I'm glad you're having fun so far too.
