As long as the right breeds are listed, it will work for creating new breeds (given you get the evaluation right). It can even be, for example, mixed arabian x welsh cob (less than 50% of either breed), it will still work as long as no other breeds are listed. It also works for a single breed recipe parent - doesn't need to be pure, part-, half- and mixed also work as long as there is only the one breed listed.PeacefulOreo wrote:I don't think that would work, I'm pretty sure it needs to be 50%DakotaDrop wrote:when creating new breed for example a Morgan which requires a (arabianXwelshcob) X thoroughbred would the (arabianXwelshcob) need to be 50% or would it still work if it was say.. 85% or so.
What won't work, though, is a random mix of listed breeds. Parents have to have their breeds listed exactly as in recipe (you can switch them only on one side; arabian x welsh would work the same as welsh x arabian). You can't breed arabian x welsh to a thoroughbred, fail the evaluation and get a half TB, and then breed it to another TB to get the Morgan - the recipe mix of breeds would be in there somewhat, but it won't create a new breed, because parents don't follow the recipe.

No, you don't. I have almost completed all 328 breeding recipe quests and I only have 9 books.Namida93 wrote:Do you alway have to buy the book ?

The book will help you evaluate in quick order, the horses you're using, but even if they pop a perfect foal, there's still something like a 50/50 chance flip if the foal will be the new breed or not.
In your case, your foal is too tall. Your foal will need to be born around 9.0hh to 9.3hh to be within the adult height requirements.

Congratulations! She is a nice looking buckskin. As a congratulatory gift, if you were curious, here's her scores:
Speed 48
Strength 25
Stamina 35
Balance 28
Movement 49
Agility 50
Tempo 24
She does look like she has some potential to develop into a strong base for competition stock.
