Oh Well
So I recently sold three horses which were:Sebastian, Sasha, and Jack. Sebastian was renamed and got a breeders tag (Which I don't mind, after all he came from the adoption center so he isn't really "mine" plus he's got an owner that will care for him
). Jack was put up for sale at around $1,000 (a little pricey for how old and untrained he was but, hey, he's no longer mine).
Then there's Sasha, a filly I had breed from my favorite mare and Sebastian. I sold her because I didn't like the way she turned out and her stats were eh. Still, I had breed her, I had spent the time patiently waiting for her arrival and guess what, she was rehomed on sale
. Poof, gone. Not even aged up and tested, just gone. I don't know about you guys but I would rather someone not buy my horse just to rehome it two minutes later. Give the horse a chance, let them grow up and compete, don't just end the horse's career before it begins.
Anyways, what do you guys think?
Should I be this annoyed or just let it slide and accept that what happens, happens?
Edit: Ehhhhh, oh well. Live and let learn. This will teach me not to sell horse I would like to live at low prices. Oh well
Edit:Plus my mare has another foal coming from Sebastian (now, [CV] Fromage) so there's hope and my pride and joy, Jessie, who's from the same mare just became my first champion
.

Re: Slightly Annoyed
Yep, and remember that space largely dictates the rehoming business; tis hard to keep track of how much space you got left, so the person who bought your Sasha might not have rehomed just for the sake of it, eh
But yeah, sell them once they have offspring, to someone who really needs them or just keep them to yourself, and you should be good.

If her own breeder thought she was disappointing and not worth keeping around, then why would anyone else?Dexpere wrote:Then there's Sasha, a filly I had breed from my favorite mare and Sebastian. I sold her because I didn't like the way she turned out and her stats were eh.

Re: Oh Well
Yeah, you are right. I shouldn't be suprised that she was rehomed when I was also trying to get rid of her. I don't blame the buyer for rehomeing her. It's quite silly of me to get annoyed at someone who was doing what I would have eventually done.
