Yellow Breeders' Report

Post by Argent II »

Brief commentary consisting mostly of me using Morbs as a sounding board :3 Take as you will.
(12:28:19) Argent_II: I spy a bosslady
(12:28:29) Argent_II: guuh
(12:28:36) MorbyToo: XD sneaky nosy being you
(12:28:39) Argent_II: not even sure how to proceed with projects rn
(12:29:13) Argent_II: I think I'm reorienting myself with the conformation well enough to continue with that
(12:29:23) Argent_II: but the yellow BR comments are throwing my off
(12:29:25) MorbyToo: Difficultyyy
(12:29:50) Argent_II: I dislike the color choice
(12:30:05) Argent_II: yellow has a negative feel to it.
(12:30:21) MorbyToo: oof
(12:30:21) MorbyToo: well
(12:30:29) MorbyToo: it goes red > yellow > green
(12:30:36) Argent_II: would have much preferred she use a darker green or a different color entirely for the higher values and left the lower ones green
(12:31:11) Argent_II: yes, but yellow has an association with "caution" to my immediate thought is " that's close to red" not "that's close to green"
(12:31:20) Argent_II: *so my
(12:31:40) MorbyToo: Mm
(12:31:46) MorbyToo: I'm sure you'll get used to it :)
(12:31:58) Argent_II: I'm sure it'll drive me crazy
(12:32:09) Argent_II: I'll just have to make EVERYONE green for real now
(12:32:15) Argent_II: so I never have t see the yellow
(12:32:16) MorbyToo: XD
(12:32:23) MorbyToo: weren't you gonna anyway?
(12:32:32) Argent_II: and then it really will be a cautionary note in m herd of this loser needs culling
(12:32:36) Argent_II: yes, I was >.>
(12:32:39) Argent_II: more urgent now
(12:32:42) MorbyToo: XD then what is problem please
(12:32:53) Argent_II: MORE URGENT NOW D;
(12:33:13) MorbyToo: XD

One thing I should clarify now before it causes problems. Yellow was intended to represent "Gold" not "Caution". So in this case Yellow is better than Green. But perhaps this i not obvious and requires some adjustments. Stand by for changes soon.

I think it would be sufficient to add an info bubble for the BR like there is for stabling and feeding. Including the information in the Understanding the BR forum post as well as a clarification on the colors would be excellent.

Yeah, I did not get that at all. I thought yellow was worse... so I agree with argent^^ Every little bit of information helps, especially in bubble form.

I actually thought yellow was better based on reading some of the comments. Some of the green comments just didn't seem as good as yellow comments in the same stat.

Oh my gosh. XD I was so confused. I was totally thinking stoplights myself. o.O Maybe, uh, red > green > blue? Since blue often opposes red in things? Idek. Or just swap it so red > yellow > green. Might be an American thing?

I was thinking the yellow could turn blue too, it's a good idea.

I don't know about it going to blue. I think that would be a bit much for me. x'D
In all honesty, though, I don't mind it going to the gold. The main problem surrounding this is that people didn't realize it went from green to gold, therefore, I think just putting out more information on what it all means is the better way to go (as opposed to changing the color). Or if it's really necessary, just switch the green and the gold, since most people thought it went that way anyway.
