The title, earnings and win percentage are what we call as fake or better yet 'fake'.

Keep in mind that when you are looking at a horse and specifically looking to see if the horse is good in a specific discipline you look at confo, breeders, report, HGP, temperament, win percentage, and scores.

This horse already seems suspicious. Awful conformation, breeders report, HGP and scores but she manages to have a high win percentage and winnings of over 50 million from only 10 comps. (Which means that the horse must have made 5mil on every comp she entered)

This Belgian mare has only been entered in a series of competitions called Racing Belgians. The level of the horses entered in this comp is awful (some horses are not even trained). What you can conclude from here is that this mare is just the best from these awful Belgians.

Think of it like this. I want to put my horses on the list of the top horses with the highest earnings in a specific discipline but I did not have horses that do well in that discipline but I do not want to do it the correct (and fair) way because it will be super hard to do so.

Instead, I choose a breed of horses that is generally awful in that discipline which means that there will not be competing horses of the specific breed in that specific discipline. This means that I do not need to worry about better horses entering my competitions (and winning the 1st place) since I will make it breed restricted.

I enter my awful horse in that comp with a bunch of other awful horses that I know will do worse. Since there are no horses of the specific breed that are competing in that discipline I can put the purse as high as I want without worrying about someone else entering their horses and winning the money.

Now my awful horse is placing firsts in the breed restricted comps since they are competing against awful horses and of course he is winning the high purse every tome, meaning that he will soon be one of the horses with the highest earnings in that discipline. (That is the reason behind that competition)

In conclusion, when checking if a champed horse is good in a discipline or not always check the scores they get and compare them to the world records or the average scores horses get in that discipline.
But again keep an eye on that win percentage (when the horse is not champed in specific comp so that they can win 1sts) because there are always weird horses that can pull scores close to breaking world records but their win percentage is awful

Try to enter her in a comp that is not breed restricted I can guarantee you that she will not even get the 3rd place

Yeah, she's mine. Just wondering why she is doing well against Belgians who have a higher speed confo than her? She has speed 7 and she is placing 1st 2nd and 3rd... I find that strange still

What Happened?

Post by spottedleaf10 »

So, I have 6 Dressage Trakehners that used to always win me tons of money in Russian Dressage Trakehners. The past 2 times this comp has run, none of them have won. What happened?

Likely your horses are up against much better competition now. Take a look at the competition from before and the competition now and see if there has been a shift in the conf, scores and stats. That should tell you what happened.

I do think I understand what is happening. I think that now more people have started entering their horses in the competition so my horses are competing against more horses than before. At one point, only my horses were entered in that comp
