Hey!

Announcements
Welcome to My first newsletter! I hope you like it, if you have any suggestions for me please ping me here: https: http://www.horseworldonline.net/forum/v ... =8&t=25199
I am known as CRUNCHY IS THE BEST and I am very excited to be writing this for you guys! I saw that “mllotfus” needed a newsletter writer so I volunteered! Hopefully I will be doing this from now on!
A little about me!
I have been on HWO for about a year now, I love it! I have done breeding, boarding and I have just started training! I love racehorses so I am very glad I stumbled upon that in particular ad!
My deadline is the first of every month, so I will be posting then!
Interviews
So for the next few moths I will be privately chatting with some of the hottest racehorse breeders and the smart owners who are in the winners circle!
(Couldn't get an interview here
)
“FameDaLupa’s” horses came up more then a few times in the “Top Ranking Horses” Specifically (Racing,Wins all genders). This horse right here has shown put all of the experienced to shame!
(AKA Seabiscuit)
Has placed 3rd in the finest of the finest with 394 wins this horse is working it’s way up to first place. Imagine what it would be like to be her/him! FameDaLupa has another horse and this horse didn’t place 3rd, But this horse isn’t exactly a slacker either
(AKA Rhaego)

Has had 243 wins and is only 3 years old!
“Bitapetrone’s” horse (AKA Daedalus de Whyle)
Has come in 1st place for (Racing,Wins all genders). This is a HUGE accomplishment! Bitapetrone has another horse that showed up as well! In 14th place
(AKA Iudex Gundyr de Whyle)

He has won over 210 races! Bitapetrone should be proud!
Interview with Bitapetrone...
Me: Okay so..
Nice to be talking to you Bitapetrone!
Hey, i'm sure lots of us are wondering why is your username "Bitapetrone"?
Would you mind telling us?
Bitapetrone:When my friend and I were 11 playing our first MMO we didn't know what to call ourselves. So we booted up a game I had at the time called Gallop Racer that had really silly generated names. She went with LemonExcess and I went with Bitopetrone, but apparently forgot how to spell it on my way to character creation because I put in Bitapetrone. It was so goofy it grew on me and I've kept it ever since.
Me: So, cool!
Let's talk more about racing...
So How did you get into racing?
Bitapetrone:It was a record I hadn't beaten yet at the time and I wanted to go for it.
Me: What is your favourite thing about racing?
Bitapetrone: As it relates to the game, I like that it is one of the more active disciplines, though I am not really a huge racing fan in general. I actually prefer the Working Ranch/Cutting/Reining disciplines as it's more what I am keen on in real life, but they just aren't as active as racing here with regards to pushing scores.
Me: So you have a horse then? (In real life I mean)
Bitapetrone:Yes. I have a 32 year old grade pony (13.3H, so a large pony) who I've had since I was 9. His name is Sebastian. I used to do jumper and small-fry eventing on him when I was younger, as well as fun shows, trails and the like.
Me: Wow, 32 years old! Sebastian sounds like a lovely horse!
Do you currently have any race horses up for sale?
Bitapetrone:I don't sell horses very much, but I might be selling more in the future. I can't really say one way or the other, sort of depends on what kind of stock I get and how lazy I get. If I sold any horses they would most likely be broodmare (or competition, if the buyer chooses to train them) prospects.
Me: Thank-you so much for answering my questions and I hope people know a little more about you now!
Next month I will be interviewing the top horses and owners in “Harness Racing Wins”!

Re: Newsletter
I think it's great! Two things, make sure you post it in the topic (You might have done this, I didn't check) and try to make the format a bit closer to the rest of the posts. You gave a lot of info, its just a bit confusing to read lots of different formatsCRUNCHY IS THE BEST wrote:Hey!Just finished! Re: Newsletter
Hey there!mlloftus wrote:..CRUNCHY IS THE BEST wrote:...

Just informing you guys (as the previous writer of the racing newsletter ) that sticking to the format (not the old ones) is a must! It is nice to see changes every once in a while but the only change I see here is the fact that the whole newsletter is not organised.
Apart from that many things are missing. Apart from whole change of the format which I am against, since from what I can see the disciplines have not been covered appropriately, important sections of the newsletter like rising stars (you are only featuring horses btw ) competitions and even some world records are missing.
I understand that competitions are missing but rising stars and even world records?
Players depend on the newsletter to receive new information. That new information is not reading about horses that have already been reviewed in the newsletter before, do not get me wrong here it is about that (if the horse has made a new achievemen) but it is also for seeing what the new competition is (rising stars) as well as how the goals are changing (world records)
The racing newsletter, the most important and popular newsletter is a place where breeders get praised for their hard work, and generally spread their names, and the fact that important things are missing is a huge discouragement to the players who have worked so hard.
The newsletter is not a place for only the top players to get their names spread even more it is a place for other players to get some encouragement and praise that is why the rising stars section exists in the first place.
Interviews and such are only an addition to the original newsletter (think of it as a surprise) which means that the interview should not practically be the whole newsletter!
Crunchy is the best, take the time to search for information. I understand that it is a bit tiring but this is something that you agreed to. Do not search fir the easy way around things (by not taking the time to go through the competition results to see the rising stars or huge competitions that have taken place and searching for world records)
Also there us a specific date that the readers expect to see the newsletter!

Re: Newsletter
I completely agree, the whole newsletter was very confusing to read. It IS time a bit time consuming, but you ARE getting paid. Like Vet said, it is a must that you put all the information in the newsletter.Veterinarian wrote:Hey there!mlloftus wrote:..![]()
