Can someone HELP me with her colour?
Hi!
I just look around my farm and find that beauty. Can someone tell me how her colour is called (I know that she is fleabitten grey but how is called the colour under grey? She has dark eyes and freckles on muzzle and I think she has freckles around the eyes too but I'm not sure, I have never seen horse like her before).

I think it's a chestnut base? I've only just beginning to understand the more "complicated" colors. BlackOak2 and/or Silverine will be able to answer the more in depth questionsPieta wrote:Thank youPeacefulOreo wrote:

The gold is on a chestnut base. If you take notice that there's no difference in the color along the belly or on the lower legs, you can easily rule out the agouti's (bay, brown). So that leaves just the two solid base colors. She's also an easy one because she doesn't appear to be affected by other genes (dun, pangare, etc).Pieta wrote:Thank you anywayPeacefulOreo wrote:

Champagne creates the freckles and the blue eyes that turn brown as a yearling.
