How is this possible?

Look at his parents. His coloring makes no sense to me? What color is he?

Re: How is this possible?
If I am not mistaken he might be a smokey cream? His sire carries the cream gene and his dam might carry black... Smokey cream is 2 creams on a black based horse... I think. Maybe his dam also has cream? I'm not an expert, so to anyone who sees this, if I am wrong, please correct me, but he looks like smokey cream to me. I don't see any pearl...horse_lover_232 wrote:https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2225979

Re: How is this possible?
I would guess classic champagne. It's a black horse with a champagne dilution. It looks like there are champagne horses on his dam's side and her coat looked to be the same color as his. As for the appy part, both horses only carry one copy of leopard, so if neither passed the leopard gene, he will not be an appy.horse_lover_232 wrote:https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2225979

Well, if he was champagne, there would be little freckles on his skin. (Around his eyes and nose) so I doubt that he's champagne.Abbih wrote:I would guess classic champagne. I guess, I usually turn to reference pictures of real horses to confirm, but I didn't look at any close pictures. Black pearl maybe? https://www.pinterest.com/pin/524669425333406327/ This was a picture that popped up when I searched black pearl horse.Caramelapple3 wrote:Well, if he was champagne, there would be little freckles on his skin. It’s weird that he didn’t get any spots/white. He confused me.Elaina Brewster wrote:His dame is smoky brown, and sire is Palominohorse_lover_232 wrote: But how did I get him when his parents are both completely different?
