Yah, I saw the guide. Just wondering if there is anything other than just following the guide? Because how far I get in 2 years (HWO) training is like how far other people get in 2 months :o

Anything else that you want to add: nope! love this idea, BTW
How is the best way to train?
This is a question we all come to at some point. Even myself, if you're thinking along that route. We all use the same training guide to get us moving. At some point we also all move slightly away from it. The good thing is, we don't have to. It's a solid guide that will get even public trainers on the right track to training fast, efficiently and thoroughly. Most of what and when we move away from it, is most often for style-specific training (like sprint training or log pull, there is no need to fully train for a horse that will only be used for that).

Here's the training guide link:

It's quite likely your skills training. If you don't have any of your skills training learned yet, it can take up to 9 years to fully train a horse using that guide. With about half of your skills training completed, it will take you between 4 and 5 years. Fully skilled out, you'll train in about 2 years 6 months.

Also, the way you learn your skills training will also have a big effect on how quickly your horses will train. The saver training and the stamina training will generally have the largest effect on the speed of the training on your horses.

Does that help any?
