Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

Re: Standardbred
If anyone needs some low COI (<5%) Canadians I have a fresh batch that's growing right now. I got a colt and 2 fillies currently.

Re: Standardbred
I HATE rehoming them! But I can't get them to sell when I put them up. I guess now I'll post them up here so they can go to good farms.Lakewood wrote:Noooo! Don't rehome your colts! I might be interested in buying them at some point.

Please do that! I managed to grab a STB mare and could use different stallions for her.Rodeo_Ace wrote:I HATE rehoming them! But I can't get them to sell when I put them up. I'm currently stuck on Narragansett Pacer. It seems nearly impossible to create.

Re: Standardbred
I'll post the babies I have for sale here then!

Re: Standardbred
Got your mares Rodeo_Ace! Thanks!
But how on earth does one create a light horse breed when the ingredients are basically all pony breeds?

Re: Standardbred
Yes! I'm glad. I didn't have the time or room to keep working on them. Very glad you picked them up!
I mix in light grade horses into the lines, it's the slow way but after a while it really pays off.

Re: Standardbred
Just started breeding Standardbreds, was wondering if anyone is still working on the project.

Re: Standardbred
Well, I think that all the Standardbred breeders have left. Except Lakewood, I think.
I guess this is somewhat of a breakthrough.
