Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
It was recently brought to my attention that some players are entering horses from more than two accounts in to my Triple Crown Races. Please stop, doing this as it gives you an unfair advantage and is illegal in HWO's rules.
If it happens again, I will no longer, host events of that nature.

Re: Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
As a further warning, especially for those of you that might not know, entering restricted competitions (competition types that will only allow ONE entry for that account) from MORE THAN two accounts, WILL get you booted from the game!Baranduin Brewster wrote:It was recently brought to my attention that some players are entering horses from more than two accounts in to my Triple Crown Races. This is a serious offense of the game rules, so if you have done so, take note and stop. It IS considered cheating.
If you're booted from the game, you risk loosing access to your account for a limited time or permanently. If you loose access to your account permanently, there is NO WAY to access those horses on that account.
As Baranduin Brewster first noted, this is a rule on HWO by our admins.
The warning has been given.

Re: Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
What if the player is champing or boarding for another player an forgot which comps he or she entered in? Also, I do a lot of aging and don't have a side account and there are competitions for contests that have an age limit that my horses age out of, so sometimes I send them [the horses] to another player who also entered the competition, is it ok for them to enter the horse form a different account and then sell the horse back to me? They don't get the money but they are still helping meBlackOak2 wrote:As a further warning, especially for those of you that might not know, entering restricted competitions (competition types that will only allow ONE entry for that account) from MORE THAN two accounts, WILL get you booted from the game!Baranduin Brewster wrote:It was recently brought to my attention that some players are entering horses from more than two accounts in to my Triple Crown Races. Re: Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
You can forget, but the game does not. The game only allows 1 horse per account to be entered into the racing discipline, even if you sell the horse it remembers. It notates who enters the horse into the discipline, and that person and the animal is the ones who gets the purse, not the person who buys the horse.ST0RM wrote:What if the player is champing or boarding for another player an forgot which comps he or she entered in? If you use only two accounts to event, you cannot get an unfair advantage in the restricted events. It is impossible, but if you enter from three accounts, you just added to your advantage by increasing your odds by 1 more than anyone else.

Re: Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
Like Baranduin Brewster said. If a person designates just TWO accounts for all of their competition entries, they will NEVER be affected by this. So designate just TWO accounts for all of your entering into competitions (this does not include the making of competitions) and make sure you only use those two accounts for entering and you'll be fine. This is per person and not per horse. A single horse can be passed a hundred times around HWO and be entered a hundred times and be a legitimate entry and not break any rules, under just one condition: That there are at least 50 account holders that are entering that horse. Or a hundred horses can leave just a single account and all be entered into the same competition and be legitimate entries and not break any rules, as long as they fall under the same condition: That there are at least 50 account holders that are entering those horses.
As a side-note to this: If you have two designated competition accounts and you choose to change one, do so with an adequate break in entering competitions, so that you won't break that rule. Either keep track of the last competitions that you entered and wait for them to finish running, or create a time-break between one set of entries and another. For quick-running competitions, a week break should be adequate. For slower-running competitions, you might want to extend that to two weeks or even longer. Or just limit yourself to one competition account for a month then move back to two. There are many ways to make the switch. The basic rule of thumb is to avoid those single-entry competitions and you should be good to play... when making that competition account switch. This shouldn't extend or cover jumping back and forth between multiple accounts for competing. We risk the ire of our admins if we switch and switch and switch. It is always possible they'll tighten their grip and rulings and we'll loose the flexibility that we have. Don't do that!
We are and will be held responsible for our own actions on the game. We are given a little maneuverability for mistakes and errors, but in the end, what we do or don't do, is of our own design and cause.

Re: Warning - People entering horses from more than two accounts in events
I agree, this is very annoying, and against the rules. People use various accounts with various horses in comps to get more money, wins, and points.Baranduin Brewster wrote:It was recently brought to my attention that some players are entering horses from more than two accounts in to my Triple Crown Races. If it happens again, I will no longer, host events of that nature.

I do own two accounts, but I don't not cheat like the people who enter multiple times in comps
