Connemara Breeders

Hey was just wondering if there are people out there breeding Connemaras. I would love to know how your breeding is going and if you have any tips. My closest to a pure bred Connemara is Sunburned Window


She is 95% Connemara, but now that I have got this far all the evaluations seem to be going out. So far all her offspring have had one criteria red. I feel a bit out of my depth with this, I would love some advise on how to fix it.

I just discovered one of her foals is a 100% Connemara, but because of his bodysize he can't be a Connemara.
Does anyone know how to fix body size?

You can't fix body size. It is what it is. That would be like you wanting to be petite, but your big boned. Its just your genetics - you can't change the way you are.

The closest thing you could do is breed him/her to a horse that is either smaller or bigger in body size (depending upon which way you need to go) and hope for the best out of the resulting foal.

I have started a Connie breeding project but as there aren't many Welsh Cobs, which are needed for producing them, I am more focused on breeding them at the moment
