ISO Thoroughbred stud w/ low genetic coi!

Post by Chelle »

Looking for a Thoroughbred Stallion (Full, Part, Half, or Mixed) to cross with my low genetic coi trakehner mares to use to expand my dutch warmblood breeding program.

Does anyone have thoroughbred stallions that have low coi? Preferrably between 0%-4% ?

Thanks so much for looking!

:D Good luck, and hey everybody else, let's help if we can. There are almost 200 TB studs out there, far too many to sort through for this kind of info. Remember it can be a mix or part but not a cross that names another breed.

:) I remembered that the oldest listings in any breed category may include some of the oldest horses, who tend to have lower COIs. All these fellows (from pages 19 and 20 of the TB all-inclusive listings) have COI < 4%, decent Breeder and Conformation reports, and average to good intelligence. Stud fees range from $500 to $2500.

Bulls on Parade (Half TB. You bred him! He's still out there. NICE stats too)

My racing stallions, Just What I Wanted and Buttercup, THINK they are Thoroughbreds (actually 25% for Jay W., something like that for B.C.). Spoiled guys. ;)

Thank you all so much for all your help!! I don't even remember breeding Bulls on Parade it must've been awhile ago that I sold him haha there's a couple other thoroughbred studs with really low coi I've bred too but I don't like breeding my mares to the same studs continuously when I'm trying to make new lines because then my lines will eventually get jumbled up again. I really appreciate you checking into those studs for me! :)
