Storing Horses?

Post by Revenant »

I keep hearing people talking about storing horses for later, as in locking them while the rest of their horses age, and I haven't insofar used this feature. I think I remember hearing about it and how the locked horses count towards your total, but now I've completely forgotten how to do it.

Another example of brain fog: I forgot we didn't have to feed our horses unless we planned on training/showing them, but omg they look so sad if they're in poor condition. It does have some effect on temperament though, doesn't it?

I assume what people mean by 'locking' horses is putting them on one account which they don't turn. I do the same, so I have breeding projects and training projects on one account and horses waiting for a use, or horses being shown on my other stationary account.

Feeding high energy feeds will make horses hotter, which can be beneficial for racing events, feeding hay or leaving at pasture keeps them quieter, but other than that and increasing/decreasing weight, feeding has no effect :)

I have never heard of a horse locking feature.

I "lock" my horses by moving them to my other account where I don't spend banked days :)

EDIT: Didn't see you there Weaving ;)

Oh, I see. Gotcha! I suppose opening another account to store horses would probably be a good idea. One I hadn't considered.

This is truly interesting. Thanks, Weaving. Plus I assume for your showing horses, you sometimes want your horses to be a bit skinny or a bit fat depending on their discipline and the ideal body type.
