You don't. Pastures and barns are two different enclosure types. You place it in your farm by going to your farm page, clicking "Toggle Build Mode" then "Add From Inventory". You'll then need to refresh the page to be able to see/move it (this is temporary until the new layout updates).
If you get an error message when trying to place it you probably need to expand your farm. Again, you do this on your farm page and go to the edit my farm tab above the pasture list on the right side (I recommend getting maximum depth asap as it makes placing items where you want much easier).
