Sorting and farm building
It would be amazing to be able to choose in what order the horses are listed in pastures and stables. Sorting by breed, age, gender and so on. It would also be nice to be able to decide in what order the pastures and stables should be listed, so that one can move them up or down.
Another thing that I came to think of when placing pastures yesterday is that it would be amazing to be able to view one's farm from above when placing stuff.

Re: Sorting and farm building
Would really love to be able to choose the order of the pasture and stables! Top down view would also be cool, but mostly organising pasture and stables.

Re: Sorting and farm building
Agreed that the order in which the system chooses to list either the physical features of the farm or the horses in each enclosure is confusing until you've worked with it. The key to the farm layout is left to right and the key to horses is their serial numbers, lowest first.
Having a master list of horses per farm which the owner could sort according to various criteria -- age, gender, breed, BCS, energy level, mares' pregnancy status -- would be a great help. Even better if -- as has been suggested elsewhere -- the owner could then interact with any selected horse, giving him/her food/training, and even moving between barns and pastures. As it is we either have to get to EACH horse's profile page, or EACH barn/pasture the animals are in. Then there's the fun of remembering who is where and what pasture is suitable and ... frustration reigns.
Over the months I've learned to deal with the farm layout, although it is annoying. I realize that any significant change to this could be difficult. Top-down depiction ("plan view") can be disorienting to those unaccustomed to technical illustrations. I bet that the "elevation" we have now -- side on with perspective -- is, if not perfect, more congenial to most viewers. If it is practical to toggle between views, that would be a cool option. If we have to choose between them, I would vote for keeping what we have now.
Unfortunately I don't think most players even *look* at the boards, let alone read posts. So setting up a survey and getting meaningful results could be impractical.

I thought the same thing just this morning.Sunpath wrote: It would also be nice to be able to decide in what order the pastures and stables should be listed, so that one can move them up or down.

Re: Sorting and farm building
I know this is an older request but i really wanted to add my thoughts to it. I apologise for bringing up an old post.
Also, I'm so grateful to everyone who has helped me through this game!
I really love this idea. I play on mobile and it's extremely difficult to move the pastures where I want them. I also love the sorting idea. I recently placed a suggestion for tags for horses for help with organization. This would also be a great help.Sunpath wrote:

Frustration! Yes! I also agree with you on the lack of participation in the forum. It seems the same players are always helping me out. I wish there was a reward system implemented for those people. I know people don't help me out because they expect something in return. But, I feel they deserve it. Even in a lot of forums your given different titles for how many posts you make. I think it might create a bit more interaction.Scythian wrote: Then there's the fun of remembering who is where and what pasture is suitable and ... frustration reigns.![]()
