I have a question because I don't want to make anyone mad: is it reasonable to buy a fully trained horse, champ it, and then sell it for more than you originally bought it for? I was about to do this but then I realized that it could annoy someone or make them very angry. Thanks!

My philosophy is, as long as you put work into the horse (training, champing, ect.) it is ok. But, if you just buy a horse then don't do anything to the horse, then you just sell it, its not ok.

That is completely reasonable. Once you buy a horse it is yours and you can do what you want with it. Part of the "goal" of the game is to make money to support your farm, so flipping a horse for a profit is nothing to frown upon.

There is nothing wrong with 'flipping' a horse, which is purchase then resale at a higher price, without changing the horse in any way during ownership. We have had a couple community members in the past that did flip horses. There was a short term issue because not everybody realized that's what was happening, but once understanding on a 'flipping' sale came to light, then things settled back down.

You are not, by definition, flipping a horse. You are actually changing the horse during the time you own it. In this case, you are 'purchasing to comp' a horse (comp=compete).
This is a reasonable and logical mode of earning money and offering a service to the community at the same time.

I offer for the community so they can forward it, that's all. Besides, much of my knowledge comes from other members of the community, so I'm only doing what was offered to me.

I agree with the rest here. Once you buy a horse, you should be able to be with them as you want, in my opinion. I personally think it's great when a horse I bred, trained and sold ends up being a great horse for someone or several people. If those horses helped contribute to the community, I'm happy with that, even if it's just to help someone make money for their farm. I honestly never really watch any of the horses I sell off. I'm too busy training and breed up to next batch to sell on my farm. I think you are fine with flipping horses if you want.

To be honest, I really don't like it in certain situations. It is irritating to me when I breed a high-quality horse, sell it to a newer player for a very low price to help them out, and then they go immediately and resell it for millions. Oftentimes they also age the horse so that it messes with the temperament (to bombproof) and weight (to either poor or very fat), so I guess it just frustrates me because I put a lot of work into my horses. However, if you are champing the horse and actually putting some work in, I don't think I'd mind too much.
