Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
Howdy equestrians!
So I have too much money to be able to spend it all, and I wanted to give something back to the lovely HWO community!
Therefore, I decided to make this a TRIPLE trivia competition so that people who know about real horses, and people who don't know a lot, can both compete.
PRIZES!
Advanced: $20k
Intermediate: $5k
Beginner: $1k
RULES AND NOTES:
First person to post the correct answer wins!
Please only answer ONE question. (So other people have a shot at winning.)
Of course, feel free to Google answers, but please don't cut and paste information. (I will be checking this, but feel free to paraphrase)
I'll be doing this on a regular basis, so if you don't win this one, you'll have another chance.
(I might mix up the whole "first person to post" rule into a random draw from correct answers if it looks like the same people who are winning every time.)
Also: please make sure you have at least one free horse slot or you keep an unbred horse you would be otherwise RHing so I can purchase that foal from you for the amount above.
QUESTIONS
Advanced for $20,000
To execute a turn on the forehand, a rider's leg must come back slightly behind the _____. (answer is part of a horse's body)
Intermediate for $5,000
In Western riding, a canter is also sometimes called a ______.
Beginner for $1,000
Which of these horse breeds originated in America?
A. Hanoverian
B. Morgan
C. Criollo
GOOD LUCK!

(and please let me know if you think these are too easy/too hard/just right)

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
Despite my slightly lacking Western knowledge, I'm going for the Intermediate question
I believe canter is also sometimes called lope
And by the way, great idea!

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
I'll go for the advanced question and say just behind the girth! Think these questions are pitched perfectly at these levels by the way, brilliant idea!

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
I'll go for the beginner since the others are answered and say Morgan.

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
You all were fast! Nice questions!

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
Wow. That was very fast! Everyone's right so everyone's a winner!
You guys are way too clever.
I'll message the winners now about collecting their prizes.
Congratulations all!! (Esp. to Weaving as that question wasn't easy.)
Since that happened so fast, I'll try to either post the next one at a different time of day or post beforehand about what time the questions are going up so everyone has a fair shot.
Thanks again for giving me something fun to do with my imaginary money.
Happy horsing!

I'm too slow! This is fun.

Re: Amber's First Trivia Competition - $26k giveaway!
Ah. I can't PM all of you - only some of you because of permissions/sub, so here are the instructions for collecting your prize:
1) PM me the link to the horse you were going to RH - make sure you put up that horse for the amount of the prize money you've won. (The horse must have no living children, and should either be under breeding age or a mare with no foals so I can RH it afterwards.) Make sure that horse is worth less than the prize money! If you can't PM, you can post the link in the comments section here.
2) If you don't have a horse like this, let me know. We can arrange something as long as you have a spare horse slot, but it's easier if you have a horse you don't want anymore.
Buying a $1 horse from the Market under 3 years old also works - you can search by price and age.
Congratulations again!
