He definitely is black based and you can easily see the dun stripes on his back and leg and he also carries the silver gene but he does not have any dapples.

And yes, he is a silver smocky brown!
Some players confuse it for a silver brown but if you look at his belly and muzzle you can see that it is brighter than usual (and has the classic cream color)
