Aaaah this sounds so fun. <3 I wish I had more horse space eeee. I would totally join in with this. Harder than appaloosa? Yes please. -nerdiness intensifies- I say this even when I'm so excited to get pure SBs so I can start adding appy to them... As is, I have some really nice sooties from varied backgrounds, some of them quite dark, if you'd be interested in getting a foal from them, CC. I know my CP Skywalker is an interesting one: his front side is sooty, his back side is light.

Hah crazy! Just noticed this topic yesterday; today while browsing the adoption center, I found this horse! Definite sooty dapple, don't you think?

Quelle Surprise

Wibble, that's a dapple grey, not sooty.

I hadn't realized that there were so many different sooty versions on here! I've had the odd number of those sooties with the dark withers or the dark hindquarters but I haven't seen one like Quelle Surprise, yet, how awesome!

I bred this girl. She is a nice mix. Not sure of the color but I think she is a Sooty Dapple.
Very pretty

Dapples often show up on Silver Blacks and has nothing to do with sootiness, which doesn't even occur on Black horses if I remember correctly.

Silver Blacks come in all shades, some don't even have dapples, and some have crazy dapples like this guy:

Yor filly is very nice though!

Ah... Thank you. I am very lost on her color. She has changed a lot. All I know is her Dam had sooty and her Sire silver. I know that doesn't mean she has one or both but it was a possibility. I will get this right one day! :D
