not the best stats I wan to work with him, how should I train and compete him?

Ah, one of Melancholy's foals. I'm glad to see that someone is putting her to good use. :)

I'd try Dressage/Driven Dressage/ Hunter. All require Movement/Balance/Tempo/Strength in some order, and he's got fairly decent stats in those. He has a 7 positive (I think) balance conformation score, and everything else is between -15 and -6.

HorseLady72 assures me that stats between -19 and -1 are actually not that bad. Anything under negative twenty.

Look at Baladi rankings if you want to se what RED strength is worth (-29). In Buttercup's case, top rank in overall, $40K, and 14 championships.

IMO: it's care and diligence, not just stats and what they seem to be born with.
