new numbers next to horses breed

i logged on today to find that when I clicked onto a horses page, the place where it says what breed it is seems to have a number right next to the breed name. does anyone know what this might mean. thanks.

the +1 or +2 means how many generations of purebred your horse is. the % is what percentage your horse is of the most breed.
