Anyone else get effected by this Coronavirus?

I’m in one the only US states that haven’t had any confirmed cases yet, But i am sure it will come around within the next week. All field tips and out of state sports were just canceled and people are upset. Schools will probably shut down from next week until mid April soon. I’m actually writing a paper about for English for a debate, funnily enough. Lots of interesting information. My little brother is a type 1 diabetic, so i am praying that he doesn’t get it, because a common cold can send him to the hospital. Don’t want to think about what this will do.

I sure hope so. It probably will, considering that it mostly affects those with weakened immune systems. They recently cancelled riding lessons at the place I ride at so now I can only ride my own crippled horse, and even the school websites have articles for when school closes.

Ya, I also heard that it hide behind other illnesses like the flu and pneumonia, so if your healthy your fine. It’s is a bit concerning to me, as my dad is on an immune-weakening medicine (Humira, I’m sure you might have seen a depressing commercial about it ).

I'm in a city that has been effected by it. It's just starting to really take off here and is starting to spread fast. My kids' school and all the schools are completely shutdown for the rest of March. And we have a huge annual rodeo event that happens every year in my city and it has never closed before and but it did close now. Everyone is freaky out here and panic buying, making the store shelves bare. It's absolutely surreal in my city right now. Just crazy stuff. I'm just staying calm and trying to be vigilant but still living my life like usual right now as much as I can.

I'm student and I'm like all the students at home for about a week now ... From today other schools and kindergardens are also closed. I'm starting to get really bored and worried. What bothered me is that all infections in my country come from Italy and spreaded because people who were infected didn't follow the instructions of health ministry. What is also funny is the fact that moste of people who spreded Corona virus were employed in hospitals and medical stations ...

My school shut down for 2 weeks. We're still allowed to ride at my barn, but we need gloves (so we're not touching the same reins)

I work as a crew member in the film industry in Los Angeles. Almost all productions (commercials, features/"Movie" and TV shows) have shut down almost overnight. There is no work to be had, which means LOTS of people out here will not be collecting paychecks for probably at least a month. My husband and I were both on jobs this week that canceled mid-production. So we are suddenly unemployed!
Plus, the panic buying is serious. As a healthy young-ish person, I'm honestly more scared by people's crazy reaction to this than the virus itself...

Anyone else get effected by this Coronavirus? My school had to shut down because there are some people from my area that have been in contact with people infected by the Coronavirus

My school is shut down for 2 weeks and 2 days. No athletics practices or meets. There is two cases of covid-19 in the next town over from me. I got sick the day after I visited the town that has covid-19. But I don't have covid-19. Just a really sore throat. As of now I'm improving. Thank goodness my family has not gotten it yet. My mom has underlying health issues. My dad as well. There in there 70's. The elderly are most prone to this getting this virus. I hope I don't get the virus.
