Idea

Post by Soaring Hooves »

I just had the idea that you could make a section in the market for all of the horses that were rehomed. Some horses are just rehomed because they need space on their farm and they don't want to wait for people to buy their horse. I think that the prices should be around the same for all of the horses. For example, Thoroughbred mares without any training could be 2,000 dollars, untrained stallions could be 3,000 dollars, untrained foals could be 3,500 dollars. Partly trained could add 500 dollars, and fully-trained could add 1,000 dollars or more(This is just an example). Also, people could earn 1,000 dollars or something like that for rehoming a horse. Thanks for reading this, and please ping me with your answer of yes or no :D

I like that idea except... there shouldn't be a reward for re-homing... people could start using it as free money

True… but I think it makes sense because when you sell a horse, you earn money from whoever buys it… I definitely see your point, though.

I agree with Honeybunny with this. And anyways that's kind of why there's such thing as rehome if you can't sell a horse and you need the room if you're trying to say let other players buy the horse

zero support. I rehome my culls, as do many players. I never had any interest in selling them, and I don't want my hard work being passed off for pennies

Before I start saying anything I just want to let you know that there is a forum exactly for ideas/suggestions like this one! It is helps the admins as well since they do not have to look around every forum to find our suggestions plus the suggestion forum was also created for the admins to look at when they have free time (that is why when a suggestion is made we do not ping the admins).

Your suggestion is unique

However, I must warn you when you come uo with ideas or suggestions you should think of every possibility of feature your are suggestions being used the wrong way.

I do not agree with your suggestion (please do not take this personally ! :D ) I just see plenty of drawbacks to your idea.

1st, as honeybunny mentioned this will definitely be used by some players as a way to get free money

2nd, the rehome button is not only used by players that need to get free space quickly. It is also used by breeders who got foals that do not fit their requirements etc. And if they wanted to use the rehome button to delete or get space (and want to keep their lines private) then I see a big problem with your suggestion

3rd, you cannot just say a specific price for a horse, for example you cannot say that all newborns will be sold for 3000 because an awful newborn should not be sold for the same price of a really good foal (with golds) nor should a good foal be sold for the same price as a foal from a world record holder.

That is my personal opinion though ^^
But it would be great if we could have an auction house where the horse would not be under your ownership while it was up there but because of that there would be a tax for the days it would stay there
