Horse Weight
I wonder what the recommended/best/"healthiest" weight for horses in the game is?
Like, I mean the colors behind the weight in the "Attributes" section of the horse profile. Are they the same as the "Breeder's Report" where the yellow/gold is "better" than green, or is it the opposite for weight, so that green is actually the recommended weight for the horse, instead of yellow?
Like, which one is better here? Is green or yellow better for the weight?

Also, is light green better than dark green, or is it the other way around? All these colors I'm so lost as to what's the "best" weight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, It makes me wonder that even more because of how the yellow for weight is a different color than yellow/gold for "Breeder's Report"
This is what i mean about the yellow colors being different:
Yellow/Gold in Breeder's Report:
Yellow in Horse Weight:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My guess would be that the Weight works differently than the Breeder's Comments, and that the order is dark green, light green, yellow. But I'm not sure and I thought someone might be able to tell me

Re: Horse Weight
I am not quite sure, however my opinion is that it is entirely based on what discipline the horse is in. Example with Arabians, I always have them Thin to Moderately Thin because of the competitions they compete in.
My Belgians on the other hand are almost always Moderate due to being in mostly Driving competitions.
I do know that Moderately Fleshy is the "healthiest" heavy weight option for pregnant mares. At least that's what I've heard.

Re: Horse Weight
You're correct. The weight and the BR comment colors ARE different. BR comment colors, the best to worst are, gold, green, no color, red.CrescentMoonStables wrote:I wonder what the recommended/best/"healthiest" weight for horses in the game is?

But for the weight, the best weight is actually determined by the competition they're entered in. If it's not a competition horse, then weight doesn't matter. And we don't even have to worry about loosing our horses due to negligence (overweight or underweight).
So your competition horses should be weight-regulated, otherwise, weight management only matters if it concerns you and you want to practice good weight management for the time that loosing our horses from weight does get added (not a feature that will likely be added anytime soon, I think).
To find the best weight for your horse, check out the little question mark that appears in the bar of your horse's profile, highlighted 'Feeding'. This will give you the ideal weight range for the competition you choose for your horse.
As for the colors used to highlight the weight of your horse... it's likely to help identify in a quicker manner where your horse's weight-range is. Yellow and Red highlighting a possible change might be necessary, whereas Green is highlighting a quick-see acceptable range. Makes it a little easier to view necessary areas by drawing the eye toward it.
