Number After Breed?

I was browsing through some of the stables and horses and saw breeds like "Turkmene 256" and "Arabian 4". What are the numbers for? Also, I saw an Arab-Turk cross that was labelled as Arabian 4x256 50%. Would it be possible for this cross to have produced a 50% Turk instead? Or does the system go with the sire's breed?

What you are seeing is just testing values for me. I just added the cross breeding in this weekend so the breed name variable isn't updated yet.
