Yep... I don't breed grinders... (I'm working on it) and training is so expensive that until my training stats are maxed out I loose more than I gain...BlackOak2 wrote:There is always grinding. That just takes time.Honeybunny#2 wrote:

Grinders are definitely handy.Honeybunny#2 wrote: Yep... I don't breed grinders... (I'm working on it) and training is so expensive that until my training stats are maxed out I loose more than I gain...
Arguably, you could personally train in specific disciplines only. It will save you on training time and monies, plus offer you a grinder. Grinders don't need to do much, just give you that extra chance to earn PT and days.
The best part is that they can come from just about anywhere.
But that's entirely your decision.

True! One of my best grinders was a untrained AC caspian...BlackOak2 wrote:Grinders are definitely handy.Honeybunny#2 wrote: Yep... I don't breed grinders... (I'm working on it) and training is so expensive that until my training stats are maxed out I loose more than I gain...

Is it necessary to get them all trained?Honeybunny#2 wrote:True! One of my best grinders was a untrained AC caspian...BlackOak2 wrote:

Like a tooooonnn of foals
You've been searching for a trainer for awhile... you might need to run through a hard cull and not necessarily get rid of any of them, but make a hard decision on just training certain ones. Use the others as breeders instead, keep a selective foal from those breeders that you culled against training and that will free you up to start moving forward.

Re: Confo needed!
I do what you where saying with my regular lines... but my elite lines are very rigorously tested... why I can still sell a Arabian stallion for just short of 1 million dollars. His parents both are tested and so is he.Honeybunny#2 wrote:There lies my problems...BlackOak2 wrote:

My private Belgian lines are all 100% trained, same with my private/elite Arab lines... My Lipizzaners are all trained as well... for quality control. I compete elite line horses before I sell them and all come from competitive parents on both sides.
