Working towards Purebred Appaloosas

Post by Ms. Trouble Maker »

I'm working towards purebred Appaloosas, can be purebred or like 2nd generation Appaloosas...my goal is to make sure they have them Large spots al over their body, some day a large spotted Leopard would be cool!! So far I have a stallion and a mare that are Part Appaloosas.

Looking great! I have started to work on some too, I think I am going to go with Pony of the America's for my spotted breed but starting with apps as my foundation. I have used your studs a few times :)

I'm going for POAs too. My Hanoverians are forbidden to be colorful so I picked POA to make a fun side project. There are not many in the game so I put my non-spotted POA up for stud. As you can see from the picture he is just hanging out until I need him.

Morgans are my main breed and they can be pinto but not appy spotted. When the other white makings get added, I will breed them into my Morgan line and the POA's will give me a fun way to keep my spots.

I've always had a passion for Appaloosas because no 2 spots are the same!! And they just look amazing! I think my next real horse will be an Appy! :)

Yep my goal is to creat a Leopard with large spots!! I'm sure it will be tricky because it seems harder to get large spots in the hard! even to parents with Large spots can create a foal with little spots or no spots about 95% of the time! Using the same mare and sire got me a good foal 1/10 tries I think! youhave a 10% chance of getting a foal with large spots, even if both parents have Large spots. lol
