Money!

Post by DestinoRidge »

How can you even make money on this game other then selling horses (impossible for me), cutting grass, and local shows?

Too much appaloosa, shetland, forest horse and tarpan hype for my little stallions to be of use currently. Hope they add jobs or some other source of income in the future. /:

Before grass cutting was introduced, I made decent money by training one or two horses and putting them in player shows. It's a little faster than local shows. Now that we can cut and sell hay, I'm able to focus more on my breeding lines without having to worry as much about money.

Yes, shows help me out every once in awhile but it's a bit tricky to figure out what my horses really excell in?

I make the most money on shows! all my horses bring in about $5,000/day x 5 horses....I don't enter EVERY horse. But breed really good horses and you can make big bucks in the level 10 shows.
If anything I have wayyyy to much money! We need more pasture decor and such! lol I have over a million dollars. I keep my grass around 60% normally for controlled weight, but that's not my money maker

Hahah oh lord, borrow me some. See I need to just figure out what my little beasts specialties are. I have one really nice, overall well trained stallion, Bjorn Charismatik, just can't figure out what his calling is I've also been trying to keep weight in check with mine, it's a tricky scale to figure out.

It's easier in the barn, but does cost a bit more....and really some horses aren't good at anything! lol I've had some horses that go 0 show points out of 20 competitions...and I would just rehome them, because no one was gonna buy that. I keep and train all my horses till they're about 4 years old....then I enter in a few shows of each section to see if they do good...and I got decent player skills so it doesn't take as long to train my horses, but at about 4 if they don't win any competitions out of the 20 I enter them in, then they're a lost cause...because by then they're practically trained! lol I have a whole line of horses that all have the same build and all excell in the same thing...easier that way.

See there we go, you've got it figured out. I keep mixing and meshing breeds and not really focusing in on one and having it excell haha maybe organization is my magic key to success

Example! If I find a horse that excels greatly in western Trail and wins me 20,000$ and earns 1,000+ show points in Western Trail, then I'll keep him and try to breed off him and get horses that are good in Western Trail. Now most of mine are good in western trail, dressage, jumping. And If I see a horse in the sales page and it has good show points and earning in them categories then I buy it because it might have that good confirmation I need. Does that make sense???
