You are so awesome for wanting to help. And yeah, the varnish and graying can be so annoying. I had created this herd from scratch using these 2 pretty Arabians that had the red and varnish originally as they had the spotting I wanted. But now all my horse are red varnish. Ugghhh! lol I can't seem to breed that out of them yet not get other colors. lol

I'm thinking of actually creating a whole new bloodline of solid colored ones (as they will probably sell better anyway) and get a fresh line going before trying for spots again (hopefully without varnish and graying). I need to find some really good Arabians to cross with the really good Sorrias out for studs (Sorrias are so hard to find to buy) and some nice North African Barbs too. I'm hoping to really breed in high HGP and stats (get to 70hgp and 6+ gold stats eventfully). What are some of those popular rare colors to go for you think? If you see any on the market that might make good Spanish jennets feel free to ping me.

I'd like to have them compete in Barrel Racing. They always do so well in the local shows under barrel racing and i think the breed itself really lends itself to the western disciplines anyway. Hey, do you know what temperament is best for barrel racers? I want to really try to keep them at the temperament. I'd be happy to work out a agreement to have you train for me once I get the herd going in the right direction. :D

I know it's going to take some time to get to that point with my herd but I love the challenge of it. I wish I had premium right now so I can check on confirmations on this. I am at 288 PT was almost there. I had premium not too long ago but it finally ran out. Sigh. lol

I've also completed everything in the horse ownership skills except the amount of horses you can own. I'm in the last leg of that with up to 155 horses. It's gotten really expensive now so i have to save up before getting that done.

The other thing I don't have is a Freezing account. My LadyByron is all Training (working through those skills right now) and some breeding for fun and of course this account is all breeding only. Do you think I need to get one just for freezing? How does all that work and how to you get it started, I mean like, do i just work on the the horse ownership skills for it and what horses do you decide go to the holding accounts? Studs? Just competing horses? What does everyone use theirs for? Sorry for the 20 questions. lol Someone should should make a guide for this. lol

And our schedules work good, cause I too am mostly on Fridays/Sat./Suns. I do try to login every day too check on stuff during my lunch break and sometimes at night too if i'm not busy, but I don't do my heavy playing time til the weekends.

You are so nice to offer some money to help me. I won't say no, but you definitely don't have too. lol That does bring up another question I have though. How do people give each other money in this games? lol Does everyone just put a horse up for offer and once the money goes in they just give the horse back? lol I have always wondered that. I wish this game did have an easy way to give money. If I ever get a lot more money, I'd like to help others with money too and do contests and such. That's the one thing about this game that gets frustrating. It's hard to make and keep money for sure!

Again, thanks for being so helpful. I look forward to chatting more and learning more too. You can always chat me up about anything. :)

That is it for now. Rambled a bit there. lol I'll start my search for a new Spanish Jennet bloodline to start now. TTYL :D
I only play Fridays, Sat, sun. I will answer ALL of this on friday! I am sorry I can't right now.

Hello, I am so sorry it took a while, but here I am! :D
Okay, so yeah, I would reccommend creating a whole new bloodline of SOLID colors. I advise you to not include those red/spotted/varnish arabs like you had before, those probably caused a good part of the problem.
They do sell better-the solids. If you like the spots, go for them! I am sure people will like them, but just LOOK OUT FOR VARNISH AND GRAYING. Are you talking about dapples or leopard spots?
I have a sorraia, though I am not sure it would be good for your project. I have a great NAB, lots of highlighted stats. I don't have much arabs so I don't think I can help you there. Some rare colors include Silver Black Dapple Pearls (Which are not very easy to breed), Sooty Dapples (Which are easier than SBDP), hmm... Pseudo Whites, Full Tabianos, Mowhawks, and there is more but I can't find them off the top of my head. :)
I will ping you. :P
I think some good ones to keep in mind is Mowhawks, SBDPS(Though they are hard), Sooty Dapples.

Barrel Racing is a good choice. The best temperament for Barrel Racing (& any racing in fact) is High Strung. Spirited can also work, but not as well. Anything below spirited is not good. :D
Sure, whenever you want.

Yep, premium never is there when you need it. I need it too. I am at 1,120 (I saved up from 0) and I am saving for 3 or 6 month.

Good job! All those skills WILL come in handy in times. I suggest you do the competition skills since you are showing your horses. This will come in handy, as well.

I am going to make a guide for all this stuff eventually, don't worry. :D
I suggest that you have an account for freezing, because it is one of the MOST HANDY. I would use it for your competition horses, holding, & really good studs. For the comp horses it is so they don't age out, and also because when they are young, they are worth a lot more if they are comped. You should do lots of ownership skills. That way you can hold lots of horses. You can make them really nice and fancy for your competition horses. :D Sorry, I don't have too much info to give on this, becasue everyone does their own thing on their sides. :D

Ah, that's good. That way we can see each other and send these whole WEBSITE PAGES (JK) to each other on Fr/Sat/Sun. I check sometimes on the weekdays, but I don't do anything long.

Ah, money, money. Yes, it is hard to make it. But I am a hoarder, so rather than hard to keep it it is hard to spend it for me. :) But I have been losing a lot lately for some reasons. Whatever you want. I don't care if you say yes or no. :D
Generally, people just put up a dumb horse that HAS NO CHILDREN (because if it has children it cannot be rehomed), and they put it for offers and the other person offers on it and then rehomes. :) Or they can do it your way, either way it works.

Yes, of course! You're welcome, anytime. I would love to teach you more! I will keep an eye out for what you need. Talk to you later.

Just as a reminder: If there is Lp, Leopard, there will always be some form of varnish. There are different varieties of varnish, slow, fast, heavy and light, and of course all the little areas in between. There's even a heavy style that produces little tiny white flecks as it gets really heavy.
So any Lp at all will have varnish. You don't want varnish, avoid the appaloosa spots, the snowflakes and the blotchy aging that happens to some horses.

This is an example of varnish without any snowflakes or spots:

Thank you both so much for your guidance and advice. It really has helped so much! I ended up reading both of yours and others guide on everything breeding and color genetics and really feel I'm on a much better footing now.

I have purchased some decent Arabians, NABs that will go toward 3 different Spanish Jennet bloodlines - solids, pinto patterns and a much more controlled spotted line with more colors. Sorraias are so hard to find on the other hand so I've had to only use the public stud ones which are just okay. Oh well. Lol I'm also phasing out my more intense varnish and graying horses and its helping already with my LP colors.

I'm also now working on my training skills so eventually I can train them up before selling them so they can really go toward contributing to the community as a whole. I'm feeling much more renewed and excited again.

I will definitely be reaching out if I have more questions and again thank you both so much for helping out. And if you ever need Spanish Jennets for any projects just hit me up!

I'll give y'all an update as I start to get my bloodlines off the ground too. :)

As a last note, Sorraias aren't too difficult to make. The hardest part is the west african barb. So if you really wanted a fresh line of Sorraias, you shouldn't get yourself into too much trouble creating your own line. But that's entirely up to you.
