**Timed Sale Ads**

Someone Recently set up a comments/suggestion topic for "auctions"

I put this on a separate post because I think that it could actually change the way the game is played... and solve a couple of ongoing issues.

I'm suggesting that ALL sale ads have a time limit. similar to the way that when an offer is placed, you can state how long the sale ad stays for.

This would reduce the amount of stagnate ads in the market, specially if the timed sale/auction had a capped limit (i.e. 1 year)

The Buy Now and offers options would still be available, but could add a bidding system... really, the only difference is that the ad is a) timed, and b) the sale may automatically go to the highest bidder. to solve issues around money, money could be taken out of the players account at the time of the bid - like it is for a competition.

Additional idea (technical:) or you could set it up on a similar model to "Ebay" for those who are familiar with it:
After the auction is closed, the winner has a purchase now button - if not paid within a time, the sale is forfited - or you could make it more complicated and add a seller approval process.. but those things are really only ad-ons, the basic idea stays the same...

even if it started as simple as having an "sale ad expiry date."

Not sure if people would like this, but i think it would be an amazing addition to the game.

again, don't know how it would work (especially how the computer programming side of it will work, but it could perhaps be set up a similar way competitions are... right?

i think this is a brilliant idea! sometimes i feel like im seeing the same horses and bidding but the horses arent ageing at all? its like that player has been inactive for so long and i dont know if im wasting my time on reserving a space for a horse that isnt actually used anymore! then i dont know if i even have enough left

I have been for putting a time-limit on sales for awhile now.
Wipe the current market clean and any sales going in are automatically put up with a limit. At this point, I really don't care how long a limit or how short, just any works for me.
Although, I might miss going through all the old ads that can sell in an immediate fashion, to find just that one horse that fits what I need... which has also been up for an indefinite amount of time.

Either way... Time Limits! That's a good start.
