This girl was really not expected. She’s got 65 speed, a good body for racing, and is high strung. It was so exciting to get this girl! Both of her parents have under 60 speed, so this was a very nice surprise!

Racing Belgians
I have decided to try breeding up 100% Belgian racers with my Thoroughbred horses, and a few public studs. This is my first time trying to do something like this, but I have been studying some bloodlines of other Belgian racers, and I think I have a good idea of what I'm doing. This project has been going fairly well, and I'm super excited to see how it turns out.

Goals:
*59+ speed
*25+ strength
*40+ stamina
*horse type, light build
*high strung
*100% Belgians


Generation One-
At this point, all of the horses bred are 50% Belgian, but almost all of them are Pony Type. I am only breeding Gen 1 horses that are High Strung, and have over 20 speed, and the others were rehomed. One of the hard parts is trying to make sure that all of them aren't siblings, and trying to keep the COI down for the time being.

Generation Two-
In the second generation most of the foals have at least 40 speed, are high strung, and are getting a lighter build that is more of the racing type.
