I guess i'm just nosey...
Roughly how many turns do you use in a day (24hr period) ?
I have just started to keep count to find out how many I use

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
On busy days, between work and my livestock, sometimes I only get 6-12ish (depending on how many I get from local shows). Weekends, days off or when its not so busy, I try to get in 20-24 (I like to have foals ASAP after breeding).

I'm finding it really hard to use all 24 of my turns in the space of a day, and with the extra ones won in local shows my turn count never goes below 20 lol
I guess what i'm interested to find out is do players advance their turns quickly in order to (like you've said) have foals as soon as possible or do players use the hours every turn to train/enter locals etc... I currently try to use as many hours in each day as I can otherwise I feel like they are wasted, but because of this it takes me a long time for my horses to age.
I noticed when the appa's came out yesterday that already some of the horses adopted have long since passed and there are 2-3 generations. I've been playing this game a few months and am still only on my 3 or 4th generation, if that! haha

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
I am working on getting colors an decent traits before I worry about training or showing. I'm using primarily foundation animals, so it might take a bit. But I love genetics, so it is fun just breeding. I get of as many times as I can, often for just a few minutes, to do local shows and turn over the day. Sometimes, I can only get on once a day, like most week days. But weekends, I can get on more often, therefore use more turns. I don't sit and wait for my count to go up. But I am on a mobile, so I can take it with. I often check in when my husband is driving.

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
I don't know how many turns I use in a day because I'd never be able to keep count, but I can answer this. How much I play varies depending on how much spare time I have (some days a lot, some days not at all) but I can go through multiple generations in a day at times.MuddyPuddles wrote:I guess what i'm interested to find out is do players advance their turns quickly in order to (like you've said) have foals as soon as possible or do players use the hours every turn to train/enter locals etc... [Edit: I removed this part because it's no longer applicable. Apparently there was a bug that let you do more in a day depending on the order you did it in. I didn't know that. Whoops. Now that it's fixed, I need to find a new routine. I removed my old one from here so I don't confuse anyone with outdated information.]
Something that helps me go faster is that I always have multiple tabs open. One tab is the public stud I'm breeding to, if there is one. One tab is the horse I'm training, if there is one. One tab is my farm, scrolled down to my "mowing money" pastures. One tab is the horse I'm entering in local shows, scrolled down to the part I need to click. When a foal is born or a horse reaches breeding age, I right click the link in the pop-up and open in a new tab. So the places I need to go a lot are always already open.

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
I've been playing quite slowly and sporadically lately, so I'm lucky if I get through 4 years' worth of turns in a day. I used to got through as many as 20 years' worth, if not more; I would breed over 100 foals every 15 minutes and regularly crashed the image renderer

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
I go through waves. Currently I'm in a slow period, planning and reorganizing, but on days where I can really sit and work on my breeding goals I can easily blow through over 100 turns in a day. Easily.

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
I go through 6-12 game days in a real life day, give or take. Sometimes I've go through more if I have the time. Sometimes I like to slow it down, take my time and evaluate and reorganize my herd as I go. I love that I get to choose just how fast or slow I play.

Re: I guess i'm just nosey...
This is one of my favorite things about this game. If I'm away for a few days, everything is exactly as I left it. If I want to kill a few hours and get through a couple generations really quickly, I can do that too. I really love how time is handled on this game.Rapori wrote:I love that I get to choose just how fast or slow I play.

Me too! I quit for a few weeks and other than losing my premium, I lost nothing. None of my horses aged or got sent to a rescue or whatever. I missed no daily quest bonuses. I'm not obligated to play an hour, and I'm not limited to only play an hour. The game is what I make of it, and that gives me a lot of freedom.Syn wrote:This is one of my favorite things about this game. If I'm away for a few days, everything is exactly as I left it.
