I don't suppose....

Post by reyn2 »

I know it's highly unlikely, but in the process of moving horses between my accounts another player very rudely bought one of my stock and rehomed the horse straight away :(.

The players on this game are all so nice and I've never had any problems at all, I always place a horse for sale and enter in the description that I'm moving accounts and please don't buy but in those 30 seconds between me logging out of one account and in to another someone rudely bought my horse.

I know it's not likely I can get it back now it's been deleted, I just have sad face because it was one of my Knabstruppers and there are so few that I've bred. Sad face :(.

Thats really a bad move, sorry for your loss :(

I have 2 accounts as well and some times move horses from one profile to the other. On those occasions I've been logged on to both profiles at once. That way my horses are only available for buying in a few seconds.

I use two different browsers (in my case, Safari og FireFox) to ensure I can be logged on both accounts. It works like a charm.
Maybe you can do that?

I think in future I'm just going to have to put a ridiculous price tag on to ensure no less serious players are buying up horses just for the fun of rehoming them right away.... I've moved hundreds of horses about and this is the first time I've come across a rude player, in general it's always seemed like a nice mature crowd. Sigh. I wouldn't be so bothered if it had been something else, typically it's just that Knabstrups are my end product and I'm the only person breeding them so I don't have many different lines to work with yet.

I also use two browsers (Chrome for my main, Firefox for my alt) so I can transfer quickly. I have the horse's page open in both, set it for sale in chrome, refresh in firefox and buy it. I always price my horses high. 50-100k usually, 200-250k if I really like it, 1 mill if I feel I'd be totally heartbroken if I lost it. I always debate when I go to switch a horse, should I put a message like "transferring to my alt account" or not... because a message like that could encourage someone to be spiteful. People on this game aren't typically like that, in my experience, but there's a bad apple in every bunch. So for that reason sometimes I don't put a message at all, just a period in the required fields.

I do wish we could trade horses, though. It'd make life so much easier.

Yes, you could do that as well... A high price could scare buyers away.

Knapstruppere are so beautiful! I love seeing them in the fields in real life :) They originate from my home land :)

I'd love trades to be introduced Anne. I also like a feature K9 Game has where you can use bought points to claim back a retired dog if it's under retirement age.

Tiina, I love Knabstruppers. I live in the Scottish Highlands so don't see very many, but I'd love to have a spotty horse one day - I have a Standardbred and he's solid bay! I'm working on breeding spots in to my Knabstruppers just now, hence the swapping between accounts.....

Private sales will be coming eventually. Players having been wanting it since open expressly for the purpose of being able to safely transfer horses between accounts or to a friend.
