Merging the Games

I didn't have an account on the old HWO, to the best of my knowledge, but I'm curious how the two games will be merged. Will all of the old horses, players, and such migrate to the new site as-is, or will there be some sort of reset, or something else enitrely?

Originally I was hoping to be able to merge the old game into the new game however there are drastic changes to the horse data in so many ways that it's not feasible to merge the two into one. So the old game is going to be discontinued and replaced by the new game. Old players will need to sign up again with a new account.
