Three Greens!

Post by Argent II »

Balance, Tempo, Intelligence

I'm currently working on a 3-greens project, but this isn't quite what I was going for. I'm breeding dressage horses, so my end goal is greens in Movement, Tempo, and Balance. This colt has two out of three, and is rather close to the third. The green in intelligence is a freebie because there are no conformation effects, but it will be beneficial later down the line once the training system is complete.

Any other triplet or more green ponies out there?

Yes, I just got my first one!

Speed, stamina & intelligence. Intelligence is not too important for me right now, but I'm happy nonetheless.

No, but it's not a quality I'm looking for - so maybe someone else has.

Awesome work nyraeia! Getting a green speed in an Arabian has been one of my long term goals. I am glad to know that it is possible to have green speed and stamina at the same time.

Congrats!

I was considering going for a Speed/Tempo/Balance/Intelligence combo on greens since I've been getting random green speeds, which I have no use for :P But currently I'm breeding toward green Movement, and getting awfully close, I think, and then I'll push for a green strength; my horses have bad conformation for it, but some get surprisingly positive comments, so I think the genes are there.

I was breeding higher body size Arabs for my Pintabian project and got a girl with three greens. Stamina and int were freebies and then tempo kinda just happened on its own. I don't plan on showing her, she's just a breeder. But it was still fun to get.

My Italian Heavy Drafts have green stamina and int. I don't really expect them to see a third stat anytime soon since I'm focusing on other things with them right now, but who knows.

Oh man, so jealous of the triples!! Congratulations you guys, awesome job breeding these fantastic horses!

I just discovered the whole confirmation thing thanks to the drop down in 'breeding'. I'm legally blind so I wasn't able to see much different in body except like ponies versus draughts, but not the shoulder angles and stuff.

Now I can see those numbers I realise why some horses that should have done well just were lame, and some surprising guys had success.
Thanks admins for the numbers for those of us who can't see confirmation pictures!

Any chance this guy will be up for stud? I understand if you want to keep that for your lines only but I just have to be shameless and ask.

I'm working on these guys as well. But I'm getting close to horse limit on my account, I think the limit is 180 horses, right? I know I'm close.

I feel too guilty running a second account. :( It feels like cheating somehow. Do you guys running breeding projects run two accounts? I know it's allowed and all but it feels like it takes the challenge out of it. I think I have to give in and do it to have a chance for the minis though, with out phasing out my draughts and I'm way too attached to them to do that!!

I think I might bite the bullet and do it. No shame in it, right?? :/

I believe the max is 211 horses. Where I run into trouble the most is the 36 broodmare limit. :(

I tried running breeding projects in both accounts in the beginning and it was too hard for me to keep up with. And it felt... weird. I can understand why you'd think it'd feel like cheating. (But you're right - there's no shame in it.) I use my spare account for storage now, to lock the ages of horses I want to hold onto. It's becoming a crossbreed library of sorts. I've got medium pastures where I keep 6 mares of every breed I've worked on and barns where I keep at least one stallion of every breed I've worked on. This way, if I pick up a new project, I can pull my old lines back out.
