You name a horse, based on their sex...
And you go back to check on them either at 6 months or a year later...
And they're suddenly NOT what they're supposed to be.

And you're like:

That is SO not right...


I think I've been seeing too many foals drop recently, they're starting to run together!

I see a 'please don't post in this topic'...

I SO get the itchy finger syndrome!!!!

That moment when..
- you spend ages trying to create a breed, before you finally succeed;
- then you move on to the next one in the tree, and start to gear up immediately - snatch up from the market whatever you can that fits in the recipe, before your own foals ever grow up;
- then you try for the next breed - the one you geared up for - and succeed on the first try;
- you curse all your preparation, move on to the next (where half of the recipe is close to that first breed you spent ages on);
- and instead of crossbreds, you keep getting foals of that original breed.

or, another one.
That moment when..
- you pick through the stud market to find a normal size Arab x Turkmene cross;
- you realize that there are a precious few that fit the bill, and all are out of energy - the rest are simply giants;
- you try to breed one of your own - since it is such a precious rarity;
- you get three Akhal-Tekes in a row, and THEN you realize why that particular cross is so rare

Oh, he's pretty The mare I needed the stallion for is pregnant (managed to find one stud after all) and most likely won't foal until weekend, but, if I won't get what I want this time, I'll ping you
(and I did get the right cross of acceptable size - using a 80% Part Arabian x Teke mare instead of a pure Arabian. She didn't fit the Teke recipe, but the foal is Turkmene x Arabian anyway, just not 50/50, but that's not needed anyway. The foal is just a wee baby yet though (I am a slow player).)
