Perlino?
One of my most recent babies has me a bit confused. I can't tell if he's just perlino or if there's more going on. This is him.

Looks like a typical perlino to me. What makes you suspect "more"? :)

The sire's owner had his color listed as a champagne variant, and honestly I wasn't paying too much. I didn't know if the darkness around the muzzle was normal or if that might be considered freckling - though it really doesn't look like freckles.

Ah, I understand. The sire is a Champagne indeed. Your colt didn't inherit it, though :)
