Can horses have twins?

Post by RenegadePegasus »

I have a problem. My mare here was pregnant to this stallion when I bought her. So when she foaled, I got 1 foal, like normal. But then I took a turn, and I got ANOTHER foal from the same Mare! Is this a glitch?

That is definitely a glitch. Horses in the game can’t have twins as of now. And I looked through the mares offspring and I can’t find any a turn away from each other... so it was definitely some weird kind of glitch.

Huh. Their both out of the same Mare and Stallion, and only 1 turn apart. They are {WWE} A Royal Betrayal and {WWE} Sacred Atmosphere

We can't see what you actually witnessed.
What we can see now, is that Royal Betrayal is 5 years and 1 month and his brother is 4 years and 2 weeks. That does make them 1 year and 2 weeks apart from each other (if my math is correct). So whatever happened before, I don't know, but what I see now, they're a year apart.

I've had duplicate notifications appear from time to time, but for me it was always on the same turn. I've never had twins born. Jasmine_Hanley is correct, twins haven't yet been enabled by our admins, although we did have a tantalizing tidbit from them that the coding may have already been added.
If you have a next time, take a close look at their birth ages and see if something changes, like one of them suddenly aging a year in a single turn, or something else a bit weird. It may need to be checked by our admins.
Don't forget to check it out!

Omg! I just looked to and I just realized the 2 Stallion is a near and 2 weeks younger. so either I’m just a dufuss, or something weird happened( I’m probably just a dufuss lol)

This isn't the first time something peculiar has happened with births, but so far, we haven't been able to produce proof, nor has there been any regularity of it, so none of us can plan to catch it. Luckily, nothing bad or negative has come out of it yet.
It may have been what you experienced, or maybe you're just cruising through your turns that fast, or maybe something else entirely.

The good think is, nothing negative has happened. :D
