Re: Fells?
Her parents are both palomino, and both passed on their cream, making her a cremello.Sarah32306 wrote:This is going to take a while.

I'll put him up at $1k. I can change it later if that doesn't work for you.

She is pretty. Sometimes two palo horses carry recessive genes of Cremello so she got it from one of them. If you look back in her pedigree you will see.Sarah32306 wrote:HallOfFame 2 wrote:
Ah, well to get that breed, I looked at it you'll need a 5* of those breeds I believe. That will increase your chances perhaps? But I could be wrong.

Re: Fells?
I just want to clarify something really quick - cremello is not caused by hidden genes. It is caused by the exact same thing as palomino - the cream gene. If a red-based (chestnut) horse has a single cream gene, it will be palomino. If it has two cream genes it will be cremello. When you breed two palominos together you have a 25% chance of producing a cremello:Sarah32306 wrote:HallOfFame 2 wrote:

Palomino X PalominoIn the table above, the letters in blue are the genes that the sire has and the letters in red are the genes that the dam has (N is for normal, Cr is for cream). Each parent has one N gene and one Cr gene, giving it a 50% chance to pass a Cr to the baby. When we cross the two horses we get a 25% chance of a "normal" non-cream foal (in this case a chestnut), a 50% chance of a single cream foal (in this case palomino), and a 25% chance of a double-cream foal (in this case cremello).
Sire N Cr Dam N NN NCr Cr NCr CrCr
Chestnut X CremelloIn this second table we have crossed a cremello (double-cream) stallion with a chestnut ("normal") mare. The sire has a 100% chance of passing on a cream gene, because that's all he has. The dam has a 100% chance of passing on a "normal" gene, because that's all she has. Because of this, every single foal this pairing produces will have one normal gene and one cream gene, making all of them palomino.
Sire Cr Cr Dam N NCr NCr N NCr NCr
Okay! Thanks so much Silverine!!
