Upgrade Perks

Post by Argent II »

I would suggest leaving the Conformation tab details as an upgrade perk and removing Private Messaging from the list. I still strongly believe that PMs are a basic function that should be available to all players, but Premium accounts are in need of more benefits, and the conformation details are the sort of benefit that would strongly incentivize players to upgrade.

agreed. They are the main reason I upgraded. I honestly don't think there are enough benefits to really warrant upgrading yet. Although I am sure you've got lots planned for future updates :)

I get that but what will all the regular users do when they want to know their horses conformation?

I strongly support the idea of PM opportunity for everyone!

I believe the breeding report sort of reflects conformation a bit, at least that is what I have learned. The conformation tab grants a bit more detail, which I think works well as an upgrade perk for those who have either paid real money or earned enough in-game pony tokens.

Regular users cannot see conformation right now and no one was able to see it for most of the last four months and everyone got along just fine.

I agree with Argent, the conformation information isn't really necessary. Paying attention to what your horses physically look like and how they perform is just as important. I do believe that it is helpful, but should stay as it is to help convince people to upgrade. Besides that it's REALLY not that expensive to upgrade. I understand everyone comes from all walks of life though. PM's are important for... reasons, but I think they should stay an upgrade perk as well.

An upgrade perk could be that you can do two courses at once.
(I'm not upgraded because I would never be able to play often enough to actually benefit from it.)

I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but what about regular users paying premium users (per horse) to reveal their horse's conformation? Then there would be two incentives for upgrading - being able to see the conformation of all your horses without paying a player, and being able to make money off of it.

For me the conformation tab was the biggest incentive for upgrading, this game isn't hugely expensive, but I wouldn't have been tempted to upgrade if conformation was available to free to play users.

Conformation was also a big reason that I upgraded. That and the faster day regeneration and greater cap on the amount of days banked.
