It seems as though you two have figured out how to get around the issue, at least for now.

Check to see that your browsers are up to date.
If admin has locked a player out of chat, it shouldn't throw up an error, so I DON'T expect it to be an admin block.

There is also the option of Discord. We do have an unofficial, Admin allowed version that you may be able to join, here's the link:

But if you've gone through all the regular options of trying to access chat (including just left-clicking, not right-clicking on the link) and trying it on a different pc, not just a phone and you still have access problems, then you'll need to forward this to admin. Something may have broken on your account, some glitch or other. OR... there is one other option, although I highly doubt it is... of course it is still a possibility. If you are in any way underage and in a country with certain other laws, there could be certain restrictions you may still be under. But again, I have doubts about that, because I believe you've been in chat in the past (I can't recall any specific chat talks with you however, my memory fails me in this).

Chat won't open in another tab, at least not for me. It requires a separate pop-up window. It could be that you have pop-up's turned off. It's a simple thing to allow a site to utilize pop-ups, it will be somewhere in the settings.

But I do sympathize for the inability to access something that does make playing with the community a bit easier.
