Alright, cool! What time span do you think is the best deal and what time span do you usually get?

I've never been premium LOL. I am saving up right now, very close to affording it for a year.
I have heard many answers. Some say it's nice to get in monthly and have a few days or weeks off of being premium. Others would say to buy it for a longer time so you can have more time to save up so it doesn't run out. Maybe ask the community?
