Royal Meadows Ranch Guides

Pinging Players

What is pinging?: Pinging is a way to get a player's attention on the forum
How to Ping a Player:

1. Between the underline button and code button in the editing and posting reply/topic toolbar, there is a button called Quote. Click on that and it should show up to look like this:

Code: Select all

2. You then make it look like this:

Code: Select all

3. In between the two "", you add the player's name like this:

Code: Select all

4. Then in between the ][, you put a message or just ping like this:

Code: Select all
Ping!
It should show up like this when you submit your post:
Shadow_Hills wrote:Ping!

When it looks like that, then you did it correctly
Adding a Photo with a link to your horse on the forum

1. Between the Center button and the strike button in the editing and posting reply/topic toolbar, there is a button called horse=. Click on that and it should show up like this

Code: Select all

[horse=][/horse]

2. You then find a link to the horse that you want to add the link and photo to. (Example Link: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1911342 )
3. Between the =] you add the numbers found in the end of your horse's link. For the horse shown above, the numbers you add in are 1911342:

Code: Select all

[horse=1911342][/horse]

4. (Optional) Between the ][ you add the horse's name like this:

Code: Select all

[horse=1911342]Racy Bandit[/horse]

When you click submit, it should look like this:

or this if you did the 4th step:

Racy Bandit

How to use font colors

1. Between the size selector and the center button, you should find a button that says Font Color
2. When you click on it, it should pop up different colors. You can choose which color you like and click on that color
3. I like the darker green so I'll click on that and use it as an example so it should show up like this:

Code: Select all

4. Then you add the text in between the ][ like this:

Code: Select all

This is Shadow

After submitting the post, it should look like this: This is Shadow
How to effectively and efficiently train a horse

1. 1st of all, you need to take training courses. I would suggest to do the Energy Saving Courses first to help lower the amount of energy the horse is using during training and several of the stamina courses. The order in which you do it does not matter and you can continue to take courses while you train horses.
2. You start training a horse by first do Lunge on Flat in the arena at a walk until you are able to do a full 30 minutes of Collection and Impulsion in the arena at a walk.
3. You continue to do Collection and Impulsion in the arena at a walk until the stamina is maxed out to 99.8%
4. Next you switch to Jumping Obstacles in the arena at a walk until you either max out the horse's agility, balance, and strength or get the horse trained to your desired % in agility, balance, and strength
5. Switch to Ground Poles in the arena at a walk until you either max out the horse's movement and tempo or get the horse trained to your desired % in movement and tempo
6. Last of all, you switch back to Lunge on Flat to work on the horse's speed. I do the Lunge on the Flat on the track at a gallop but you do not have to do both the track and the gallop but it is faster/easier with the Lunge on the Flat on the track at a gallop.

Other important things to know:
- the horse's ideal feed % should be around 100% when you're training the horse. The feed that the horse eats while being trained is up to you to decide or if you're training for another player, up to that other player.
- horses under 2 years old are easier to control their feed, when in training, in the pastures because of their growth patterns

She's pretty stunted. Cute, though! Thanks, I didn't know how to do pictures, either.

5. Would you recommend Shadow Hills' Training Services to others, why or why not?: I definitely would! There is lots of people that train but this is personally my favorite (not that I've had any others lol) I love how you can choose tack to put on your horse and different extras. She gets back to you very quick and is very respectful. If you are looking for a high end, nice and extravagant trainer, shadow hills is the trainer for you!
