Pearl?

I have no idea how he got this colour. I was very surprised, seeing as his father is bay and his mother buckskin. And here I ended up with something that looks like a double cream, but that's not possible. I'm guessing he shows of some kind of pearl, so palomino pearl?

That is correct. If a horse that doesn't seem to have any dilution gives a double diluted offspring it means the horse is carrying a single copy of the pearl gene.
