Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

Oldenburg

Post by Rapori »

First, Hello! I'm new to HWO but am really enjoying myself here so far. :D I've decided to take on the long and intricate process of working towards breeding the Oldenburg. Which means, I will probably be involved in several other breed projects including the Andy, TB, Hano and Trakehner (among several others). My first line of business is to breed a WAB and Mongolian. Looking forward to this long adventure but would love some company!

Finally Produced the first Oldenburg! I will put him up for stud as soon as he comes of age, it took me almost 2 weeks of crossing my Andalusians X east Friesians and Thoroughbreds X North african barbs to finally achieve him :)

Hi, hdmcminn!

Good to meet someone else working on Oldenburgs. ^^
Could you link me to that stud? I've got a couple NAB x TB fillies that'll get to breeding age soon. I'd love to expand my gene pool a bit. ^^ Might use him with my NAB x TB mare.

Once my two NAB x TB colts get old enough, I'll be studding them out, as well. Gonna post the links here once they do.

I would be very interested if you put your colts up for stud. I couldn't believe there weren't any when I searched.
