You are right, half of the fee goes to the purse but you do realise that, if we exclude the players who enter competitions for points and not money, (which by what I can see is not the main point of you hosting the competitions since you say 'Big win' and have 3 dollar signs next to it) the majority of HWO online players are either new or just regular accounts, which means that they enter competitions to earn money, and there are few players that enter competitions for points.

So overall, apart from the fact that players will not be encouraged to enter the competitions because they pay 6k for entrance fee and they know that they will either gain 0 money or 7k that will be divided among the other participants (so basically they pay 6k to earn , if there are two contestants, 3.5k), you will not profit from it.

I can't change your mind and I respect your decision but I just want to inform you that there is a chance that you won't profit from it.

If you want to encourage people to participate you should not change the entrance fee and instead click the 'more options' button and increase the starting purse.

Every time the competitions end, New ones (In different shows sometimes), will come. You can check that the looking in the contests Forum. (Hosted by me). So, what is this times competitions? Make sure to look when this was posted just in case this was made all the way back in March.
Anyway, back to the point, this times competitions are....

A lot of them have lower purses and that is only because I forgot to put some more money in a couple of the purses (and I am very broke) BUT a way to fix that is the entry fees are a bit high so that the entry fees can also create the purse! Yay!

Sorry, but the fee far outweighs the purse. It's very annoying to have these competitions up, since it's easy to accidentally enter one and lose a ton of money. Maybe increase the prize money - people dont want to enter comps that could leave them thousands out of pocket and very little reward.
