I have a question: Why are google bots viewing forums?

This is the definition of a googlebot:
'Googlebot is the search bot software used by Google, which collects documents from the web to build a searchable index for the Google Search engine.'

So the reason it's found in our forums is so when somebody searches the internet, things that match their search will also pop up in their service.

Thus, allowing googlebots onto the site can (CAN not will), bring in new players.

Of course, we hope that the googlebot does not do anything more than this...
